What is Raqs al-Asal? 

Raqs al-Asal translates to "Dance of Honey" - Think movement that is rich, sweet, ooey-gooey, warm, and fluid. 

My passion as a dancer, performer, and woman is introducing women to movements that feel good to do! We deserve to take up space and dance in ways that feel bold and empowering. 

Belly dance (Egyptian Raqs Sharqi) takes commitment, time, energy, patience, curiosity, and dedication as a practice. While it doesn't always come easy, the rewards for your efforts are rich and plentiful. 

This is a cultural dance that is filled with nuance and I aim to educate while keeping it fun! 

You will sweat, feel challenged, and learn new ways to appreciate and love your body!
